Course Curriculum

Following are descriptions of the four lessons of Radical Transformations.

Determination

We all have layers and layers of conditioning. So, how can we cut through those layers and transform? Are there guides to aid transformation? In this lesson, Ra introduces the four steps, or guides, to transformation. The first step is Determination, the potential to differentiate by having a specific dietary regimen that is not about food. When we follow our specific Determination, we are nourishing and sharpening our senses.

Environment

The next step in the transformation process is an optimal environment, which is not about a specific place but the conditions we need to find in our surroundings that support our needs and potential. The right environment helps us to foster right relationships, helps to slow down the degeneration of the body, and provides the resources one needs, ultimately enabling us to cultivate a perspective unique to us.

Perspective

This lesson discusses the role of our Personality Nodes, which refers to our unique Perspective and how it is filtered within the right environment. In exploring how we are designed to view the world, we can process and understand experiences based on our unique way of seeing, which is determined by our Perspective. This ultimately leads to greater awareness and the ability to share our insights with others. Ra also discusses the role that transference, or distraction, plays in this process.

Motivation

In the final lecture, Ra explores the concept of Motivation, which determines the unique way we conceptualize. We all share Gates and Lines, but the difference is found in the Motivation that lies beneath the Line. Are we motivated by fear, hope, desire, need, guilt, or innocence? When we understand our motivation which is the framework for how we conceptualize we can understand the quality that we bring to the expression of our Lines.

Your Teacher | The Human Design System’s Founder and Messenger

Ra was born Alan (Robert) Krakower in Montreal, Canada on April 9, 1948, (at 00:05 am) and spent his early years there. After he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, his career path led him into the business world as an advertising executive, magazine publisher, and media producer. The arts were important to Ra, and he expressed himself as a composer and performer throughout his life. In 1983, he left Canada to travel, eventually finding his way to the island of Ibiza, where he spent years working as a school teacher.

In January 1987, he had an unusual mystical experience followed by an encounter with “a Voice,” an intelligence far superior to anything he had ever experienced. This encounter lasted for eight days and nights during which he received a transmission of information—including what is known today as the “Human Design System.”

Ra dedicated the next 25 years of his life to the development and teaching of the System around the world. Together with his family, he lived in the United States, Germany, and for most of the time on Ibiza, Spain where he passed away in March, 2011.
