Modern life keeps us indoors and online, but nature still has a profound impact on our well-being. Studies show that just 30 minutes outside can lower blood pressure, reduce anxiety, and boost mood and cognitive function.
According to Ra Uru Hu’s Architecture of Life lectures, this connection runs deeper than we realize. Human Design principles don’t apply only to humans—they reflect a shared architecture that links us to all living systems.
These lectures offer a vibrant look into how Human Design principles and approaches give insight into our world as a whole, focusing on a specific Design of Form for:
This course offers a clear, accessible look at how Human Design influences not only human life, but life as a whole. You’ll explore the deeper connections between the human and non-human world—animals, nature, and even cells—through the lens of Design. It broadens our understanding of the BodyGraph matrix as a living template that shapes the patterns and dynamics of all life on Earth.
The Architecture of Life is an 11+hour, 7 lecture series by Ra Uru Hu taught in 2006 at the annual Human Design event in Ibiza, Spain. This extensive lecture series (audio + ebook transcript) is now available for $197 (regularly $397) until May 11, 2025.
The audio features Ra’s clear voice but with background translators, and an eBook is included for easier following.
The Architecture of Life invites you to explore the innate intelligence within all forms of life that follows an underlying order found within the cellular structure.
"I’m really good for anybody’s form. If you follow your Strategy and Authority, your life will be a better life. It doesn’t necessarily mean your consciousness is going to abandon its homogenized habits. That is ultimately the great challenge. It is one thing to align the form, it’s another thing to get this consciousness to sit back, relax, and just watch the movie. The more radical you are within your vehicle, ultimately the easier it is to finally get your mind to sit back and say, okay."

LESSON 1
The Inanimate
The evolutionary movement of forms and the potential for consciousness begin with the inanimate. We generally think of the inanimate as dead matter; in this lesson, Ra explains that all of life’s extraordinary forms evolve from the inanimate, including the human body. The inanimate, or material essence, is simply dormant but infused with life.
LESSON 2
The Cell
Our bodies are built of millions and millions of cells that are unaware of the existence of our personality. The vehicle does not belong to us; rather, the personality is invited into the body for the ride, but not to run the show. So what is the relationship between the cells — the body — and our Personality? In this lesson, Ra explains the role of the body and the role of the Personality, and our potential to experience life authentically.
LESSON 3
Plant
Plants are one of the most important allies that we have. But the relationship is an ironic one, as plants will either homogenize us by pulling us into a collective flow (Gate 15) or provide us with the potential to individuate. In this lesson, Ra explains the importance of plants in our lives, and how we can best relate to them to experience their beneficial influence.
LESSON 4
Insect
Why is it that mosquitoes attack one person, but not another? Why is the connection between insects and plants of such importance to our biosphere? 90% of the biomass is insects - what does that tell us? In this lesson, Ra delves into the world of the insect, the relationship humans have with the insect, and what the insect realm can teach us.
LESSON 5
Bird, Reptile, Fish
We live in a time of great change. One significant change will be the extinction of many species throughout the world. As Birds and Fish are a primary source of food for humans, how will their extinction impact us? In this lesson, Ra talks about the current global cycle, how this cycle’s changes will affect our lives, and what we can do to experience the changes with more ease.
LESSON 6
Mammals
When we stopped giving thanks to the spirit of animals we hunted and began industrializing their slaughter, we also lost our love for them. That loss further moved us away from our own spirit. Now that we are in a time of great change, how will the changes we experience affect our relationship with mammals? In this course, Ra talks about how our lives and the lives of mammals have been intertwined, where this relationship will lead us in the future, and what the mammalian Design can teach us about ourselves.
LESSON 7
Penta & Wa
There are forms that are more complex than the human form. These forms, the Penta and Wa, are transpersonal rather than self-contained, and actually dictate human direction. The Penta exists when there are three to five people together, and the Wa is formed when there are 16 or more in a group. This lesson dives into the mechanics of these forms and explains how they affect us.

This lecture describes how the eight Gates of the G Center divide the Rave Mandala into eight symmetrical sections, and how these Gates attune us to our own unique frequency of identity. It is one of Ra’s deepest explorations of the true importance of this Center.
